About Vernita Bridges Hoyt:
Vernita Bridges Hoyt, b. 1947 and a lifelong artist, joined the Daily Painters movement in 2006. Vernita holds the professional degree B.Arch. from the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston. After serving as project architect with award-winning architecture firms, she established a private residential design practice. In 2002, Vernita recognized art as her authentic calling, and painting became her primary focus. Vernita is a founding member of Art Helping Animals and artist/director of Texas Sauce Studio & Gallery. Additionally, she writes three art blogs and an architecture blog.

"I was born to be an artist. I design. I draw. I paint. My art is a collage of my life as I paint the sauce of Texas."
